Join us for a heart-warming and thought-provoking Culture Café as we explore the theme: Celebrating Love – Wedding Customs Across Continents and Cultures. From colourful traditions to contemporary ceremonies, we’ll journey through the diverse ways love and commitment are honoured around the world.
This session will be moderated by Gail Debono, a Senior Humanist Celebrant with Humanists Malta, who has spent the last decade officiating secular weddings, funerals, baby namings, and other life events. She brings a wealth of experience and insight into how we celebrate life’s most meaningful moments—without religion, but with great depth and personal meaning.
Gail is also a Forensic Psychologist, EMDR Therapist, President of the Malta Chamber of Psychologists, and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. Her professional background offers a unique perspective on the emotional and cultural significance of rituals that unite us.
Together, we’ll reflect on how wedding customs express not just love, but also the values, identities, and human connections that shape our lives.
Expect rich discussion, shared stories, and the chance to broaden your understanding of love across borders and traditions.
